We have several exciting roles available to start ASAP. If you’re interested, have a look at the information below.

Get Involved

The Neil Porter Legacy runs hundreds of programs and events for students each year, from our bespoke 50/50 programs to major events like the Warrnambool & District Careers Expo. In 2024, we delivered 7,852 hours of individual careers education and experiences via 380 business engagements with students across 18 schools.

These programs are always free for students, schools and industry members. The NPL is committed to placing careers education at the heart of secondary schooling and welcomes all support to help us achieve this goal.

Financial Support

Annually, it costs the NPL over $350,000 to run, with the majority of expense in labour to build and deliver these programs. We invest in people on the ground, as they deliver positive outcomes to our region’s young people. We are incredibly grateful to our sponsors and supporters who enable us to do this work. You can donate via our website here: https://neilporterlegacy.com.au/donations/

Help with grants: Do you know any grants that we could apply for? Send them through to admin@neilporterlegacy.com.au

In-kind support: Do you have any products or services that could help the NPL? We run on a very tight budget and would love help with many areas including social media, transport, promotion, printing … and lots more! If you can help, let us know at admin@neilporterlegacy.com.au

Sponsor a Program

As we don’t ask schools or businesses to participate in our programs, we rely on grants and financial supporters to back our programs. If you’d like to support any of the below programs, please get in touch with us at matt@neilporterlegacy.com.au and we can send more information and discuss the options.

Volunteer Support

We couldn’t do what we do without the generous and significant support from industry members, volunteers and schools. Hundreds of hours of volunteer labour are needed each year to help run our programs, and we’d love you to join in.

Participate in a program:

– Industry: host a group of students at your workplace and tell students about your business, how you got into it and why it may be a career they could be interested in.

– Community members: if you have a Working With Children Check you could provide support as a student supervisor on a program or event.

– Be a guest speaker: Share your experiences with students at one of our events.

– Careers Expo stand: Register your interest in participating in the 2026 Warrnambool & District Careers Expo.

– Teachers: contact the NPL to get your students involved in our programs.

– Parents: follow the NPL on social media to see what we’re up to. And keep an eye out for our upcoming Parents newsletter that will be full of tips, advice and info on how you can assist your child into a successful career.
