This short clip features local industry members speaking about good habits they want to see in employees and ones that have served themselves well through their working life.

After working extensively with local industry members, we’ve noticed employers all want one thing: good people with good habits. Employers don’t care if potential employees aren’t trained in a specific industry or skill or what level of school they completed. They can teach the person what they need, but they can’t teach good manners, taking feedback, punctuality, showing interest and other good habits. 

These good habits are transferrable across many industries and occupations and if people possess them, employers will give them opportunities to progress, to try other roles and they’ll go far. Many local, successful business people and employees have had difficulties that students are facing now. These can be overcome and we hope young people watching these clips realise that after hearing the industry members speak.
